asked the Secretary of State for the Environment, how much money has so far been spent on advertising the fair rent scheme.

The estimated cost to which we are committed of the campaign in England and Wales over the period from this autumn to early in the New Year is about £632,000. This includes leaflets and booklets as well as television and press advertising.
