§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware of the present state of the law whereby the police have the right to decide whether they will or will not enforce the law against police officers who break the law, and that police officers may be absolved by their brother officers from prosecution; and whether he will introduce legislation to change this state of affairs.
§ Mr. CarlisleI am not aware of any provision which requires or permits the police, in enforcing the law, to discriminate between police officers and others in the way implied by this Question.
