§ Mr. Lomasasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what was the total cost of grants paid to students in full-time institutions of learning in each year since 1964; and what estimate she has made of the proportion of these figures that was met by parental contributions.

(2) The assessed value of parental contributions for those grants included in (1) for which an assessment was made—mainly LEA full value awards for higher education up to first degree standard.
