§ 51. Mr. Brewisasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will provide more grant assistance for the improvement and maintenance of roads in hill areas outwith the crafting counties.
§ Mr. YoungerLocal highway authorities have complete discretion in maintaining and improving these roads, and if they spend more on them they will receive additional help through rate support grant.
