§ Mr. Awdryasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will now make a statement as to the number of sanitary installations that are to be provided on trunk roads under Section 26(5) of the Highways Act, 1971; where they are to be sited; and what is the planned timetable for their provision.
§ Mr. SpeedThe following sites have already been agreed as the first phase of a programme still being developed:
County Trunk Road Berkshire A423 Cambridgeshire A11 Cornwall A30 Devonshire A38 Hampshire A30 A33 Holland A17 Kesteven A16 Lindsey A158 Shropshire A41/A49 Worcestershire A435 Yorkshire North Riding A19(2sites) West Riding A59 It is hoped to have these provided for next summer. Ten other sites are under active consideration. Selection of further sites is continuing for provision on a progressive basis.
