HoweFigures of trade with individual countries for January to September, 1972, the latest period available, are published in Tables II and V of the September, 1972, issue of the Overseas Trade Statistics; figures of imports of oil from Nigeria are published in Table III. Corresponding figures for earlier years are published in the Annual Statement of Trade. Figures of total investment are not available for these groups of countries. Net private direct investment—excluding oil—in 1970, the latest year for which figures are available, amounted to about £30 million in the countries specified in the first Question288W and to about £55 million in South Africa and the other countries specified in the second Question.
