Mr. Normantonasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he is satisfied that trading agreements entered into by Her Majesty's Government with State trading countries are being honoured, both in the letter and the spirit; where these agreements are being interpreted one-sidedly, which countries are at fault and what steps he proposes to take to repair any imbalance.
§ Sir G. HoweOur trade agreements with the State trading countries provide a general framework for the development of our trade with each country. I am satisfied that the agreements have been operated to the benefit of both sides.
