§ 63. Mr. Meacherasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many persons at the present time are estimated, respectively, to be in receipt of an income which is exclusively unearned of between £1,000–£2,000 per year, an income which is exclusively earned of between £1,000–£2,000 per year, and an income which is partly from earned and partly from unearned sources of between £1,000–£2,000 per year.
