§ Mr. Lomasasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects to receive the findings of the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council on the provisions relating to pneumoconiosis, and on whether special provision should be made for other respiratory conditions, including emphysema, found in the presence of pneumoconiosis, for disablement benefit.
§ Mr. DeanThe pneumoconiosis review undertaken by the Council is a fundamental one, and because of the very great weight of both written and oral evidence that has had to be considered, I understand that it will be some months yet before its report to my right hon. Friend will be completed.
