§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why he will not publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT details giving the date when Ronald Larby joined the police force; what action was taken to check his record and character; what progress he made in the force and on what dates; what charges and allegations were made against him and by whom; what was the result of the investigation; and whether this investigation was carried out by officers of a force independent of that in which Larby served.
§ Mr. CarlisleBecause I am not persuaded of the need to supply personal information about Mr. Larby, who is no longer a police officer. As to the disciplinary matters, I have nothing to add to the replies which have been given to the hon. Member's previous Questions on this subject.
