§ Mr. EmeryThe latest figures are published in the Department's Weekly Statistical Statement, a copy of which is available in the Library of the House. Stocks have been rebuilt since the miners' strike earlier this year but in total are still below the level at this time last year. Distributed stocks are generally satisfactory in relation to those held in past years and to the demands which may be expected. Undistributed stocks are still below the average levels of recent years.
