§ Mr. CarlisleThe Home Office has a number of computers, some of which are operated jointly with the Metropolitan Police. They are used for payrolls, stores and other administrative services, general and criminal statistics and records, traffic tickets and related offences and for research and experimental work. Most of the installations are in the London area but some of the research and experimental work is being carried out in Birmingham and Wythenshawe.
