§ Mr. Donald Stewartasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the abandonment by the Highlands and Islands Development Board of the Bulb Field Scheme on North Uist.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellI understand that the board has decided to discontinue its experimental bulb scheme in North Uist because, although partly successful, the scheme did not justify larger scale production on a commercial basis.
