§ The Prime MinisterYes, Sir. A Report prepared by Lord Zuckerman at my request on the present state of Cancer Research in the United Kingdom was published as a Green Paper on 25th October. In my foreword to that Report I said that the views of the Joint Co-ordinating Committee for Cancer Research and the Standing Medical Advisory Committee's Sub-Committee on Cancer would be welcomed by the Government who are giving close attention to the Report's implications. I hope that this will lead to still more effective deployment of our resources in this field.
