Miss Devlin

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when Conor Lynch, currently a category A prisoner in Wakefield Prison, is due for release.

Mr. Carlisle

Subject to good conduct, on 8th March, 1974.

Miss Devlin

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) whether he will now consider removing Conor Lynch from category A classification;

(2) whether he will now consider removing Patrick O'Sullivan from category A classification.

Mr. Carlisle

The classification of Patrick O'Sullivan and Conor Lynch will be further reviewed in due course.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when Patrick O'Sullivan, currently serving sentence in Hull Prison, is due for release.

Subject to good conduct, on 22nd February, 1974.

Miss Devlin

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department on what grounds his Department has withdrawn permission granted to Conor Lynch to communicate in his native language with friends in Ireland.

Mr. Carlisle

Governors have recently been advised that, though translations should be obtained before despatch where they think this is necessary, prisoners may now write letters in the language of their choice.
