§ Mr. Leslie Huckfieldasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will make a statement about the emergency landing on 22nd May at Manchester Ringway Airport of three Bolivian Air Force Convair 4.40 aero-planes.
§ Mr. OnslowI understand that the aircraft were flying from Mildenhall to Keflavik when, due to smoke in the cockpit, the leading aircraft diverted to Manchester Airport, where it landed safely. The other two aircraft made a safe landing at Manchester about an hour later. The three aircraft continued their flight to Iceland on 23rd May.
