§ Mr. Biffenasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the report concerning the operations of the Potato Marketing Board recently submitted to him by the Consumers' Committee for Great Britain.
§ Mr. PriorThis report deals with the effect of the Potato Marketing Scheme on domestic consumers of potatoes. The principal recommendation of the committee was that there should be a complete reconsideration of the whole basis of potato marketing. An examination of the guarantee and marketing arrangements for potatoes is in progress, in the course of which full weight is being given to the committee's report.
