§ Mr. George Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will initiate a study of ways of preserving the City Road Basin of the Regent's Canal, in view of its suitability as a place for sailing in north London.
§ Mr. PeytonI understand that the Islington Borough Council, are considering the possibility of re-developing die area and are discussing this with the British Waterways Board and other interests. Any redevelopment scheme which would involve a substantial departure from the present development plan would need to be referred to my right hon. Friend.
