§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) 397W what has been the total cost to public funds to date of the reorganisation of police forces announced by the then Home Secretary on 18th May, 1966; if he will itemise the cost of the reorganisation under appropriate headings; and if he will give separate figures for the setting up of the present Lancashire police forces;
(2) what is his present estimate of the cost to public funds of the reorganisation of police forces projected by the provisions of the Local Government Bill: how he computes the estimated cost; and if he will give separate figures for the estimated cost of the projected reorganisation of the Lancashire police forces.
