§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will list the local authorities which have informed him that they will not implement the provisions of the Housing Finance Bill; and what action he proposes to take in these cases.
§ Mr. AmeryThe following authorities have informed my right hon. Friend that they have resolved not to implement the Bill, or parts of it, if it becomes law:
- Camden London Borough.
- Birkenhead County Borough.
- Tower Hamlets London Borough.
- Waltham Forest London Borough.
- Carnforth Urban District Council.
- Clay Cross Urban District Council.
- Halstead Urban District Council.
- Rugeley Urban District Council.
- Skelmersdale and Holland Urban District Council.
These authorities have been, or will be, invited to reconsider their resolutions.
