§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will give the number and details of the corrections, errors, omissions and misprints in the pre-accession series of English texts of European Communities Secondary Legislation published on 13th January, 1972; on what date were the corrections, etc., published; why it took almost four months for such corrections to be made; and what action he proposes to take to prevent such happenings in the future.
§ Mr. RipponThe errors which have come to light in the pre-accession series of English texts of Community secondary legislation are set out in a corrections volume published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office on 5th May. The volume was published as soon as possible after a careful check of the texts had been completed. Every effort is made to ensure that texts published are of a high standard, but in a publication of this size and complexity it is understandable, though regrettable, that mistakes occur.
