§ Mr. Dudley SmithAt 8th May the provisional numbers of people registered316W as unemployed in the areas covered by the Luton, Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard employment exchanges were 2,752, 618 and 113, respectively. The corresponding figures for November. 1971, were 2,327, 933 and 121.

The corresponding figures for November, 1971, were 649, 124 and 86. The statistics relate only to notified vacancies remaining unfilled and do not purport to measure the total unsatisfied demand for labour.
