§ Mr. McLarenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when there will be a central barrier along the whole length of the M4 Motorway.
§ Mr. SpeedSafety barriers have been installed on the whole length of M4 in England with the exception of 10 miles between Tormarton and Almondsbury. Priority is being given to the busiest motorways and the volume of traffic on this section is not high enough to warrant inclusion in the current programme of work.
