§ Mr. R. CarrCharters are granted under the Royal Prerogative on the advice of the Privy Council.
As the hon. Member will know, a petition for the grant of a charter to New Hall, Cambridge, is now being considered by the Privy Council, which will in due course submit a recommendation to Her Majesty.
