§ Mr. Peter ThomasIt is for the Countryside Commission in the first place to decide whether it wishes to designate a National Park.
If such a designation were made and resulted in objections or representations, then a public inquiry would be held and I should afterwards decide whether or not to confirm the designation in the light of all the circumstances.
