§ 50. Mr. Bruce-Gardyneasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made of the cost to the Exchequer in the current financial year of subsidies to the nationalised industries to enable them to conform to the Confederation of British Industry's price guidelines.
§ Mr. HigginsA full assessment of the effects of price restraint on the financial position of the nationalised industries for the current financial year cannot yet be made. The CBI has itself deferred until July its conclusion on an extension of its guidelines beyond 31st July, 1972.
