§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will ask his committee to investigate the effect upon the extension of drug abuse of the quantities of chlordiazepoxide and diazepam which the manufacturers supply free of charge to hospitals.
§ Mr. MaudlingI have no evidence that the general situation as regards drug misuse is affected by the supply of these drugs. It would therefore serve no useful purpose to ask the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs to study this matter at present.
