§ Mr. Eadieasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what information he has received, in order to assist him in his energy calculations for 1973, on the number of consumers in England and Wales who will have switched to natural gas by May, 1973.
§ Mr. EmeryI am informed that it is estimated that about 8 million gas consumers in England and Wales will have changed over to natural gas by 31st March, 1973. Forecasts of how many consumers may have switched to natural gas from other fuels by that date are not available.
