§ Mrs. Renee Shortasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will introduce regulations about the use of protective clothing to be warn by hairdressing apprentices for protection against shampoo dermatitis.
425W
§ Mr. Chichester-Clark:The information available to me does not suggest that the problem of dermatitis in hairdressing establishments is so serious as to warrant the introduction of regulations on protective clothing. However, I understand that the Hairdressers' Registration Council, of which the hon. Lady is a member, hope to carry out a survey to assess the extent of the problem and my right hon. Friend would be very willing to consider any recommendations they may wish to make when the results of their survey are available.
