HC Deb 09 May 1972 vol 836 c354W
Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what is the current natural gas output of the principal North Sea fields in the English basin and how these figures compare with the minimum annual supply for each field negotiated under long-term contracts with the Gas Council.

Mr. Tom Boardman

The latest available figure is for 1971 when 18,200—provisional—million cubic metres were produced from the West Sole, Leman Bank, Hewett and Indefatigable fields. I am unable to supply figures of contracted supplies, which are a commercial matter between the Gas Council and the producing groups.
