§ 73. Mr. Goldingasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will take steps to ensure that local authorities are more able to meet their commitments under the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act.
§ Sir K. JosephRate support grant for 1972–73 has been settled. Negotiations to determine relevant expenditure qualifying for grant in 1973–74 will take place this year and will cover forecasts of expenditure on the chronically sick and disabled.
§ 44. Mr. Ashleyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what steps he is taking to make more financial resources available for disabled people.
§ Mr. AlisonDisabled people will benefit from the general increase in public expenditure on the health and personal social services planned in Cmnd. 4829, "Public Expenditure to 1975–76 ".
