§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will give the date for the commissioning of the prototype fast breeder reactor at Dounreay; and when it is anticipated that the first commercial reactor will be built.
§ Mr. Tom Boardman:The prototype fast reactor is now planned to be commissioned during 1973. The research and development programme is aimed at making possible the operation of commercial fast reactors from the early 1980s.
