§ Mr. Ian Lloydasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will provide facilities at the National Physical Laboratory or some other suitable research establishment for a ship manceuvring simulator to provide training for the merchant marine in the handling of specialised vessels such as very large container ships and bulk carriers.
§ Mr. Onslow:The Department is discussing with industry and others concerned the need for a ship training simulator. If it becomes clear that such a facility is needed, its site is one of the questions to be considered.
