§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for Employment what response he has had to his letter written to 300,000 employers, urging them to recruit 15-yearold school leavers before the summer of 1972.
§ Mr. Dudley Smith:It is too early to assess the effect of the letter on the job situation for this year's summer school leavers. It is, however, encouraging that notified vacancies for young people increased by over 4,400 between March and April.
