§ Mr. Pentlandasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what response he has had in recent months from industrialists in his efforts to find a suitable tenant for the vacant Government advance factory at Barley Mow, Birtley, County Durham.
§ Mr. Anthony Grant:We have continued to suggest the factory to all suitable inquirers. Since my reply to the hon. Member on 22nd November the factory has been suggested to a further seven firms and has been visited by one of them. Moreover, since the publication of the White Paper increased interest is being shown in Government advance factories generally.—[Vol. 829, c. 262.]
