§ Mr. Roseasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will now introduce legislation to abolish the National Industrial Relations Court, in view of the deterioration of industrial relations since it began to operate.
§ Mr. Chichester-Clark:The National Industrial Relations Court has been established as an essential part of the new framework of law for the conduct of industrial relations in this country. It is bound to find itself confronted with difficult problems of long standing which cannot easily be resolved; but this does not by itself entail any deterioration in industrial relations. On the contrary, the court's decisions may provide the starting point for the consideration of more rational solutions.
