§ Mr. Peter ThomasI am aware of the Rural Improvement Campaign in Northern Ireland. In Wales a number of schemes, taken together, achieve the same purpose of using improvement works to provide employment. These include public works programmes, and also the provision of generous grants to local authorities for the improvement of the environment.
