§ Mr. Michael HeseltineFigures for the value of new orders obtained by contractors are published in the Department's Monthly Bulletin of Construction Statistics. The most appropriate figures for workload are for Departmental expenditure on motorways, trunk roads and principal roads. These figures are not available at constant prices.
