§ Mr. RidleyThe proportions of total production exported in 1969, 1970 and 1971 were 47, 44 and 41 per cent. respectively. Any estimates for the future would be highly uncertain, but indications from industry suggest exports accounting for some two-fifths of total production, so long as international competitiveness does not deteriorate.
