§ Mr. BryanThe direct effect on the General Index of Retail Prices of an increase of 7½ per cent. in the retail price of coal would be a rise of 0.13 per cent. The indirect effect on the prices of coke, gas, electricity and all other items would raise the index by about a further 0.1 per cent.
