§ Mr. Anthony RoyleIn June last year the Khmer Government asked us to support their proposal that the area of the Angkor temples should be demilitarised under international control. More recently they appealed to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation for protection of the area and sent us a copy of the text. We have been in touch with the Khmer Government and other interested parties and, as we told the Khmers last summer, we are ready to do anything we can to help save these splendid historic monuments.
