§ Mr. Sillarsasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the jobs in the National Health Service which could be included in the Consultative Committee referred to in Clause 16(3) of the National Health Service (Scotland) Bill [Lords].
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellThe local Consultative committees referred to are intended to be representative of members of the health care professions not, specifically mentioned in Clause 16(1). It will be for these professions themselves, if they think it appropriate, to seek statutory recognition of any committees they may decide to form. A comprehensive list cannot, therefore, be provided at this stage.
