§ Mr. Redmondasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will give a general direction to the gas boards not to permit workmen seeking to make conversions to force entry to premises through a window when they are unable to gain access by normal means.
§ Mr. RidleyIt is the responsibility of the gas boards to ensure that rights of entry are exercised in accordance with the statutory provisions and a general direction would not be appropriate. If my hon. Friend has a specific case in mind I suggest he writes to the Chairman of the Gas Board.
