§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the concern felt by the police at the present position whereby allegations of neglect, malpractice and maladministration made against police officers are investigated by the police and the fact that this affects promotion and security of employment, he will now seek powers to appoint an appeal and investigating committee under a judge.
