§ Mr. Deedesasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether her Department accepts the recommendation of the Select Committee on Race Relations and Immigration that it should initiate further discussions with the interested parties on securing accurate information about the numbers of immigrant pupils.
§ Mrs. ThatcherI welcome the Select Committee's recommendations. Officers of the Department are meeting representatives of the local authority and teacher associations and of the Community Relations Commission on 27th March for further discussions on this subject.
