§ Mr. Peter WalkerThe Development Commissioners are:—
All are unpaid with the exception of the Chairman, who receives an honorarium of £1,000 per annum. Normal Government rules apply for the payment of their expenses. The commissioners have held five meetings during the past 12 months. Their main concern is to strengthen the economy of rural areas with the aid of assistance from the Development Fund. 392W accidents during the last five years has there been found to be a connection with alcohol on the part of one or more of those involved.
