§ 118. Mr. Eadieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will now make a statement on the progress made to date towards implementing the increase in the school leaving age.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellRegulations to raise the school leaving age to 16 on 1st September, 1972, were laid before Parliament on 1st February. I am satisfied that the preparations which have already been made will enable education authorities to overcome problems without undue difficulty.
