HC Deb 07 March 1972 vol 832 c302W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) if he will issue general directions to the electricity and gas boards to site payment meters in the houses of chronically sick and disabled people in accordance with their needs; and if he will make a statement;

(2) how many payment meters for gas and electricity are installed in the homes of chronically sick and disabled persons; and how many are specially sited to meet their needs.

Mr. Ridley

The siting of these meters is a matter for the gas and electricity industry, and I suggest the hon. Member approaches the chairmen of the Gas and Electricity Councils.
