HC Deb 06 March 1972 vol 832 c236W
Mr. Eadie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the local authorities who operate a family planning service, and give the numbers and age ranges of those who availed themselves of the service during the last 12 months.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

Fifty out of the 56 local health authorities in Scotland provide a family planning service either directly or through the agency of the Family Planning Association. The exceptions are the counties of Argyll, Bute, Inverness, Lanark, Peebles and Zetland. Lanark and Zetland are at present considering the introduction of a scheme.

The other information requested is not available centrally.
