Ian Paisleyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for a report from the Chief Constable of Somerset concerning evidence in his possession about the involvement of the Irish Republican Army in the theft of 3 cwt. of explosives and some 500 detonators from the site of the M5 extension recently.
§ Mr. SharplesThe chief constable tells me that police inquiries into this incident are still in progress. If the hon. Member has any relevant information the chief constable would be glad to receive it.
